Hi All!

I'm currently shopping for a helmet plus goggles. I fly a Tiger Moth parttime and not too thrilled at using the 'community' helmet anymore. I've seen what's available on Wag-Aero, but was wondering if anyone knows of another, possibly more affordable source.

Thanks!!

Mike

Try EBay and do a search for "flight helmet". There you may find what you
need at a reasonable price.

If not Oregan Aero can outfit you with one but it will be a bit more than a
used one off Ebay.

A very affordable source: get a Russian leather helmet and put in new
speakers/mic.

There are also other alternatives available new, such as in South Africa -
one can buy a new leather helmet here, complete, for about $350.

What is your budget?

I had similar problem with hard hat required for L-29 jet. Bought some
original Russian helmets, ripped out the electronics and put in new speakers
& mic. One of them the mic is fixed on a boom, the other I installed the
mic onto a oxygen mask bayonet, and modified a mask for a mic too. I can
now unclip the mic, and clip in a oxy mask/mic combo.
