I finally ran out of things to build with, (need to go to Boise again) so I was able to go flying for a change. I choose to go to the Alvord to check on the water level this spring. I took a different camera, (Olympus, a bit better than I have been using) unfortunately the batteries didn't last as long as I would have preferred. I thought that I took a video of the lake bed, close up, but unfortunately I just held up a dead camera.
I flew for 1.5 hours, 98 miles burning 6.5 gallons of gas.

Looks pretty dry. Guess the major water is when the snow melts off
the Steens. Sure was wet last May.
