Hi all,

I am new to this list and will be a new builder soon (701 rudder kit should be here by this weekend).

Anyhow, just wanted to say hi and also pass on some information that I gathered from another group in regards to another possible engine choice for the 701.

For those interested in a 2 stroke power, I read that Rotax will soon have a new version of there 582 available called the 582 HO (High output) which puts out 75 hp and will cost somewhere around $500.00 (US) more than the standard 582. Not sure of the accuracy of the information or all the the details but thought I would pass on the information for those interested in a lighter/less costly engine option.

I Hope to use the 912UL myself, but will cross that bridge when I get there.

This is a great list full of info and I'm now trying to read as much of the old posts as possible.
