I have been using the Permatex anit-sieze compound on my AN- threads. One of my carburetor fittings says use ‘fuel lube’. Is there a ‘significant’ difference between the two?
Thanks!

Yes.........put a small smudge of Permatex on a piece of scrap. Take some fuel & see if you remove ANY of it. You don't need to try this with fuel lube. It does not come off. Find you local EAA Chapter, attend a meeting & ask of someone there will sell you a small bit. It doesn't take much, we have the original assembly & 5 conditional inspections from a "dab" that 1/3 filled a 35mm film case.
P.S. We still way more than 1/2 of the original "dab" left, it's not pipe dope but it WORKS.
