Thanks Michel
I must have inadvertently hit a raw nerve with Don last night. That happens
both ways and certainly isn't worth continuing.
There have been several instances when Don has properly corrected me on not
using the do not archive statement. I receive several lists and the
Matronics one is the only one that uses the DNA statement so yes I miss it
...often. Never intentionally.
It has been a few years now since I have used bagging schedules and I must
admit I never considered that Yachts would be made in that manner. Building
an autoclave big enough is just one problem.
Within a few miles of my home there is a small company who still makes
composite fishing boats with a spray up technique. They were showing me
their heavy dense wood keel that were sandwiched into the boats during
construction. I expect their boats which do use an epoxy resin are closer
to 50/50 than 70/30. Their boats are certainly durable. Some of them are
used year round in ice laden waters. I have no doubt that their
construction methods are much heavier and not nearly as strong as the method
you have described but they may be more durable for the use they receive.

Do not archive
An absolutely perfect example of a post that has not one thing related to
Kitfox building or flying that should have been sent direct. To quote Don
Smythe "this is not a chat room"
