Non-Kolb related - tolerance & indulgence requested, there might be somebody who just might know -
There is a Viet Nam vet in our EAA chapter who flew A26 Invaders in Viet Nam, and he has some old video tapes of their operations. It is on what sounds like magnetic tape from his description. Apparently it is in a sort of reel to reel format, the tapes (brown, magnetic-looking, width unknown) sound similar to the reel to reel tape format that was popular in the 60's and early 70's, but he does not know what format to ask for, and he would like to get them transcribed to a modern format to preserve this little part of history. Apparently there are very few videos of the A26 attack bomber operating in Nam. The reels (I have not seen them) are apparently about 12" in diameter. If anybody can cast any light on what format this is, or what it is called, - whatever - anything - he might be able to pursue getting them transcribed. Thanks.

Sounds like ancient video tape. You might try a local TV station or a college video lab.
