Some of you are under the impression that I want to rip this list apart and take a bunch of members with me... NOTHING could be farther from the truth..
My intention is to stay a member of this list and learn as much as possible... The "other" site is a place we can go to chat, flame, and carry on without pissing off anyone.

If anyone is interested, Eskflyer and I will be "discussing" (cough...cough...) the "Federal Register / Vol. 69, No. 143 / Tuesday, July 27, 2004 / Rules and Regulations", also known as the "Final Rule"
He has agreed to actually read the document, when time permits, and present his opinions. What is encouraging is that the man was honest enough to admit that at this time he has NOT read it... as I suspect many of the group here has not either.
That's good enough for me as it shows that he is a free thinker, and not reliant on others to make decisions for him. Some of us live our lives based on our own thinking and judgement. Some, incapable of that, just sit back.., accept the words of others at factual, and when asked to prove those words, merely retort "well..., that's what I was told." or as here, tend to quote the very commercial publication who's statements are being contested. Hello?
Stay abreast of this in the following days at http://www.avidfoxflyers.com/
And... please offer any input or questions you care to.
Sugested reading beforehand is "Federal Register / Vol. 69, No. 143 / Tuesday, July 27, 2004 / Rules and Regulations" available for download, .pdf format, from the AOPA site:
http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/regulatory/regsport.html
Look for it in the "Related Documents" at the bottom of the page.

What I'm trying to figure out is why anyone would
want to listen to another conversation of yours about
that rule.

Let it go!

"as here, tend to quote the very commercial publication who's statements are being contested. Hello?"

Hmm, must have hit someones sore spot eh?
Guess that's why 84KF is now denied access. Gee, who has the access to do that? perhaps.....

I'm trying to figure out what your motivation is for beating this
poor, bloody, mutilated, dismembered horse even further. I can only
come up with a few possibilities:

1. You're looking for validation. You want someone to agree with you
and you are willing to re-hash your point and suggest that others are
not "free thinkers" as many times as necessary to reach that end.
Seems rather pointless, really.

2. You like to argue. You consider disagreements to be a form of recreation.

3. You believe that you are more clever than others, or even than the
FAA. You feel that you've found some hidden truth or loophole that
the rest of us are too dense to realize and this provides you with a
sense of satisfaction. The more times you can bring it up, the more
fulfilled you feel.

4. You're delusional. You really do believe that "maximum takeoff
weight" refers to "today's takeoff weight" or that the explanatory
commentary in the federal register carries the same weight as the law
as spelled out in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

5. You are trying to induce someone else to operate under your
interpretation of the rules. Could there be a more irresponsible
motive?

Regardless, it's hard to imagine that even you are still enjoying
this topic. I hope you have fun with it on the other list.

Mr Gibbs,
You are invited to post your opinions at...

Be prepared to back up you statements if you do, and not just rant.

What do you think Don, Mike? This is the same 84kf (Steve) that has been
causing so much trouble. Yank his new address? He obviously isn't changing
his method of confrontation and will just continue to use our list to
dragoon our members to his new list. This guy enjoys turmoil. Getting into
an argument with him is what he wants.
Ban his IP address?
I'm not hearing anything back from Matt.

There's nobody on their list, but the two of them. I think they're lonely.
(Obviously for a reason). My three year old acts a lot like the way they do
when he's cooped up too much with nothing to do. Sometimes we turn on
cartoons, or the muppets for him to watch. Maybe this might help here
too????
