Hello,  

   

Latest Cabela’s catalog has Attwood gas shocks for boat hatches and the like. Two sizes are offered, 5.25-7.5”, and 9.5-15”. I am thinking of using them for the cargo door on my RV8.  

   

Price is right from airplane perspective but I have a couple of questions:  

     Has anyone tried gas shocks and      if so what size would you recommend. If an RV8, what positioning      method/location did you use?  
How does one determine how to      mount them right the first time?
