Hi gang,

Happy to report that Im ready to install the Lexan and hope to move Ms Dixie to the airport this sunday!

I just thought I'd mention that Bungie cords are not real good for holdin

aircraft parts together, especially after being out in the sun a bit.



I think even the yeller paint on your bird will make the bungies feel like their in the sun even in the hanger too.



You ought to replace the bungies with cat gut......mutch stronger and you can have a snack if you land out in the boonies!!!







Just kidding of course....she is beautifull, very nicely done, you must have had a long winter and a warm workshop......how did she get her name?

Ray, The name just came to me one day kinda like the idea of BULIDING MY OWN AIRPLANE! 



Joe, I started the Kolbra in sept of 2003 and have aprox 900 hrs in her.



Ed, First flight...who knows. I have W&B/registration and inspection to do. One thing is for sure.... I plan to be riding around KLUL in her before the end of this month!

Vivid blue mike going to have the wing tips and rudder checkerboard in blue. Havent decided on what if anything on the fuselage. Im open for ideas tho.

Cub Yellow is an awesome color !  I am still trying to figure out what kind of trim, or graphics to put on the Fuselage of mine also.

Mike after looking at your airplane closer I have a couple questions. Did you make flaps for the X-tra? Im sure thats what the tubes are going to. And who made that gap seal? It's one of the slickest I have seen. Also the torque tubes to the ailerons look to be at an unusal angle. May just be the photo or the fact I havent noticed other X-tras in the past. About the flaps...did you make mark3 classic flaps and ailerons like i did? And are yours mechanicly deployed? Like I said bery nice job sir lets see more of her. Um the plane that is    Not trying to get fresh with the lovely passenger! Seams like every W-tra i see is different. In your case I notice a larger gap between the door frame and the nose cone and a tube in the fuselage above the door I havent noticed before. Have you flown it yet? If not where are you in terms of taxi testing and registration/inspection? Looks ready to go from here!
