After 13 years of being on the Kitfox List, being banned from the Kitfox
List and then ending up moderating the Kitfox list I have decided to turn my
job over to Michael Gibbs, a longtime member and contributor of the list. I
have enjoyed every day of communicating with all the members here and it has
been an enormous help to me both in building a Kitfox as well as making good
friends around the world. Through the list I was able to speak with and get
to know 100's of people that I would never have otherwise been aware of. I
am sure it is the same with you too.
The List has gone through many changes. The founding member, Jim Simmons of
Boulder, CO first hosted the site through colorado.edu, then switched to his
internet provider sni.net, and then I took over the hosting job and hosted
the list through sportflight.com. In 2003, Deke and I made the hard decision
to move the list to Matronics so we could have a more professional hosting
service and that is where the list resides now.
If you want to take a trip down memory lane, all the list messages are still
available. You can view the messages from 1994 - 2000 through my website
http://sportflight.com/archives/. From year 2000 to 2003 you can view the
messages via a Yahoo archive at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kitfoxlist/,
and of course all messages from 2003 to present are available here on the
Matronics site.
I want to specifically thank Deke Morisse for co-administering the list. He
has spent 100's of hours over the years helping monitor the list and being
pro-active in preventing problems. He has done this for no other reward than
to make the list available for all members. Thanks Deke!

Don and Deke,
I too would like to express my deepest appreciations for the work
and dedication you have given in maintaining our Kitfox List. Truly with out
this List I would have never completed my plane. It has been invaluable.

Noel,
You forgot "Do Not Archive". These new guys are going to be tough as
nails. Those OLD guys were getting lazy and laid back.
