You guys are great, I received 11 responses so far. I want to respond to couple of these here.
Noel wanted to know my gearbox ratio. It is 2.43 : 1.
Some of you did not pick up the original email. Rather than me digging that out you can go to our chapter web site and find the latest newsletter. I wrote an article describing the event and it is in that newsletter. The web site is www.eaa732.org.
There was damage to the engine mount and John shipped me a new one last week but there is a lot to do before I need those lugs and I will answer some of you individually.

What I was concerned with is if the reduction came out to an even number it is possible for the power pulses occurring at the same place every revolution of the prop. I have picked up that could have a bad effect of some props. Most of those props are not recommended for direct drive applications as direct drive applications have the power pulses in the exact same place on every other revolution ( four stroke ).
