What is the status of your Kitfox ?
I have 2 guys here looking for a IV with a 582.
Is yours still for sale ?

Right now it is still for sale. A perspective buyer is having problems with
where to keep the plane if he buys. He's looking into some more options
but, It is still for sale. As you may remember, I have a cracked oil
injection tank. We did a flight test (staying in the pattern) with the
crack. I needed a tank fast so picked up one locally that looked fine. I
just came back from the airport installing the new tank. Upon closer
examination, I wouldn't put that in my lawn mower. I've called John McBean
for a new one.

Hi Don,
I think, if you need a temporary fix on the tank until
you get one from John, you can clean it, wrap it in
fiberglass and then (have someone else) use J.B. Weld
over the fiberglass. Some of that fine light weight
fiberglass from a hobby shop should do. It should be
pretty strong and not leak.
Remembering your allergy, let someone else use the
J.B. weld.
