Many of us thought Van started RV-10 builder numbers at40000 but based on
the number of kits shipped per month (average of 1415), I wonder if he
started at 00001.
Deems, are you getting ready to paint? Maybe I better pop over there again
for a look.

Hey Al,
"Getting Ready for paint" is a relative term, the short answer is Yes,
.... But....
I was originally targeting paint in early May to beat the summer heat,
but as I'm getting in to it, I'm finding that all of the little things
that I told myself. " Oh, I'll finish that up at the end....... " are
all catching up with me, so paint may or may not happen in May. I also
need to figure out a filtered/alternate air arrangement for Cold Air
forward facing fuel servo and James cowl before painting the cowl (don't
want to get epoxy on the fresh paint). You're welcome to come by
anytime, (PS I liked your headliner treatment, and will probably do
something similar)

Albert,
So what does your headliner treatment look like? Maybe Deems can post some photos on his site.

Deems post revealing that Van was shipping RV-10 kits at the rate of "1415
per mo." Got me to thinking. It was a slow day in Yuma and I needed a short
break from building so I popped over to Vans and took a picture of their
facility. I figured that they must have expanded their shipping dept. in
order to keep up with all of those orders. Well, I was right. Look at this!

I'll try to get some photos but I used Accuracy's overhead console. I
covered the aft cabin overhead to just behind the door openings. Forward of
that I just covered the console itself. Left the sides and front window ring
painted. Abby at Flightline did the interior and it is just great. Man, I've
got to fly this thing.

Here is a pic when it was being installed. At the edges I just folded about
1/2" of material back under and glued it down.
