I have now tested the new oil thermostat I bought from Lockwood  Aviation and installed it in my 

 Kitfox 5  912 UL.  My oil temps were only getting up to  maybe 180 degrees and it took a long time 

 to get the 110 degrees for take off. The oil thermostat did help, I now get  a steady 200 degrees 

 in flight and much fasted warm ups. It did add some additional hoses and I  had to fabricate a mount 

 for the oil thermostat under the engine mount. I would recommend this to  anyone in northern areas.
