According to the documentation, the X1010 ballasts will run from 9-16V with 13.5 being nominal.
The "stock" wiring harness is designed for automobiles, so that the wire runs are not long and both lights are wired to the wireless remote switch to come on together. I plan to re-use the connectors, add relays and wire them as is more typical for aircraft lights, but with progressive taxi/landing light switch. Seems like a waste of a well-thought-out wiring harness, but the cost is so low that it doesn't hurt too much.
