Leaf and the Mechanic that built my engine both agree that it is the gasket in the cap!!!
Chalk one up for an easy fix this time rather than an engine rebuild huh??

[quote] Jared,

I experienced the same thing. It may be too full and coming out the breather hole. I my case, I did not have a gasket in the cap, so I made one. It does need to breath though, so insure that there is a hole in the gasket not aligned with the hole in the cap and you should be set. Look at a lawn mower gas cap. I caution that it does have to breath or oil will not flown properly. I learned that while draining the oil to change it. If the cap was on too tight, the oil would not drain.

Jared

I solved a similar problem several years ago by moving the small oil tank from engine mounted to firewall mounted.
Where is your tank mounted?

Jared

I also had a Rotory Valve oil tank leak, I replaced the gasket but
it still leaked, not a lot, but a little seems to spread all over and looks
like a lot, it so happens that it was a crack in the cap. I ordered two new
caps and gaskets, installed a new cap with new gasket, and safety wired
it nice and tight, and that solved the problem, never to leak again, still
have that other new cap and gasket if any one needs one. I'll be glad to
give it to someone sense I have a 912 now.
