I  have a Kitfox  MKIV/582  with 3 blade  Ivo and  3:1 box. Mine  is really

smooth above 3,000 and sometimes  below  but  generally I try not  to go

there.  Several times  I have had comments about how  smooth it runs.

My  suggestion would  be  to check engine mounting is all tight and  the

motor  is not  touching   any  fixed part like the mount etc  except

through the rubber mounts of course. Next check the prop is properly setup,

balanced, same pitch on each blade and again it  is tight. Next  check the

carbs are balanced. I am about   lost for ideas after that.
