Boyd,

Do these batteries take a charge from a Rotax system ok? As compared to the
AC/DC converter?
do not archive

I have been using one of this type of battery since 2000... I use the rotax
rectifier / regulator, to control charging current and voltage...

The battery is a sealed lead acid, recombinant gas technology type battery.
And can be used in any position. If you go to Arizona battery
http://www.arizonabattery.com/
and click on show all battery's then click on 12 volt batteries,,,
http://www.arizonabattery.com/?page=shop/browse&category=agmbatterylist_12vo
ltbatteries&
it is about half way down the page... I think the one showed is a 12 volt
18 amp hour battery, but the physical dimensions and overall appearance is
the same. This battery has 9/16 + - tabs bout 1/16 thick with a 3/16 hole
for a bolt.
The battery that came out of the jump start and is in my plane has been
there now for over 3 years and shows no sign of problems, prior to
removing it from the jump start I had the jump start in my plumbing van
and had helped a customer start his v8 engine 4 or 5 times before he got it
out of the driveway on the way to the repair shop.

Boyd,
I like the idea of using pre packaged items that can be broken down for their sub components.

Great idea
thanks
