I decided to go with the Kolb aluminum tailfeather method for my doors.
One welded steel T at the front joint , the rear joint gussetted
with stainless rivets.
the tube is 3/4" x .050" 6061 seamless.
Due to the many angles involved it was not easy and the doors do have
slight differences. The bottom half will be skinned aluminum and the
top with
my leftover 1/8" GE MR10 scratch resistant lexan.
The hinges are 2" X .060" continuous piano from McMaster Carr, the
best deal
and fast delivery.

Looks like some strong doors....

Are you sure you wanna put Aluminum on the bottom section...?

I don't know.....Maybe you can see "over" it just fine...?

I guess , later , you could always cut a Portal and add Lexan...
