To : YAK community

Dear Friends ,

The present message is not direct connected with YAK 52 world but we think maybe some of you or some of your friends could be interested .

We are pleased to put under your attention one new aircraft we produce , a Light Sport Aircraft ( LSA ) model , FESTIVAL R40S . The aircraft is certified in USA by FAA .

FESTIVAL R40S sport is a metal , “ low-wings “ , nose gear , Light Sport Aircraft ( LSA ) trainer , designed according to the ASTM American standards No. F 2339-04 . The aircraft is strong built , its construction being in the line of the YAK 52 experience .

FESTIVAL R40S is an aircraft perfect suitable for :

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>basic flight instruction,
<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>aircraft rental ,
<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>air clubs use ,
<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>individual & family leisure flying ,
<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>glider towing ,

FESTIVAL R40S is equipped with one ROTAX 912 ULS piston engine ( 100 HP ) , driving a three-blades ground – adjustable WOODCOMP propeller. All avionics, instruments and equipment are of USA origin.

FESTIVAL base price is $75,500.00 for the standard aircraft configuration .
The price is valid for US East Coast delivery ( AEROSTAR dealer location ) . Included : Packing ; Shipment in US ; Assembling & tests ; Ready to fly delivery from the East Coast . Not included : US sales & local taxes ; FAA registration fees ; Transport to your headquarters .
Some of the main advantages offered by FESTIVAL :

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>Price Affordability

FESTIVAL R40S is around $ 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 less than the majority of its direct competitors. Including maybe Cessna LSA !

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>Small operating cost

The engine consumes 4,5 gallons / hour MOGAS ( average consumption ). Engine TBO is 1 500 hours ( 9 000 $ / overhaul ) . The servicing & parts at every 100 hours are up to $ 600 .00 . The direct operating cost is $ 27,60 , a very competitive value for LSA .

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>Safe flight stability

Compared with other LSA models , FESTIVAL has increased some vital dimensions ( wing span , wings surface , wing profile ) . The aircraft bigger external dimensions have conduct to obtain for FESTIVAL a tremendous stability in flight .

FESTIVAL is a “ forgiven aircraft “ , the inexperienced pilots appreciating this fact .

FESTIVAL cannot spin if the pilot doesn’t want that . The aircraft recovers itself from spinning , without effort from the pilot .

Due its very good flight stability , FESTIVAL can support easily up to 15 – 18 m/s front wind speed and 7-10 m/s cross wind speed , the speeds being bigger as the pilot ability is bigger !

The bigger wings surface makes FESTIVAL to glide very good . Is not necessary to have a BRS chute .

FESTIVAL is “ easy to fly “ aircraft , being equipped with double flight controls & double sticks , each pilot having easy access to the cockpit equipments

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>Robust construction

FESTIVAL is a metal aircraft , a “ real aircraft construction “ through many fragile LSA models offered now on the market . Many owners are considering FESTIVAL as a “ work horse “ , able to make money for them .

FESTIVAL can operate during an intensive flight program , its strong construction make it able to fly hundreds flight hours every year .

FESTIVAL can operate not only on the paved runways . Its strong landing gear make it operable easily on the unpaved runways , this fact making it suitable to be used also by the smaller airports & smaller flight schools . The aircraft needs short take-off & landing distances , a short runway being necessary .

FESTIVAL can easy make small aerobatics figures ( spinning ) . Not many LSA models ca offer now this capability !

The pilots are protected into the cockpit like into a “ cage “ , the canopy having built a “ roll bar “ against to dangerous situation .

FESTIVAL is stress tested for + 4 / - 2 g limits up to 1,440.00 lbs , the full weight accepted by the LSA standards ( ASTM ) . The ultimate G limits are + 6 / - 3 g at this weight .

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>Spacious & comfortable

FESTIVAL cockpit is 46.50 ft wide , two “ generous “ persons being able to entry& stay comfortable inside . The entry and exit are easy , the roll-bar helping a lot .

The seats are both adjustable ( back and front ) on metal rails , FESTIVAL accepting pilots up to 80.00 ft height .

A very useful & spacious luggage compartment is located behind the two seats .

The canopy is large and very panoramic . The cockpit is standard “ wall to wall “ upholstered .

We have included with the present message the general commercial offer for FESTIVAL , for your better view .

If you see an interest , you can contact direct off the list .

Sincerely ,

Cristian Dragoi
