I have received a few replies on my Transition training write-up and
wanted to clarify the pic of my RV10 in the paint booth. I have also
attached a few pics of the RV10 in the sun today. This paint scheme is
a slight modification of a work or art that Deems Davis put together
some time ago. When I visited Deems at his house last year I asked him
if I could copy his scheme with different colors. He was gracious
enough to send me the file and SIREF draw4.0 to make the scheme my own.
If you look at Deems scheme vs mine........I have more color on the
belly, a longer, stretched swoosh. Also, the wings have more color at
the fuselage and they have solid stripes versus coming to a point at
the leading edge. I also made the accent stripes shorter. I have
received several kudos from pilots in the area and at the field already
with this scheme. I want to publicly thank Deems for his Work of Art
that he shared freely and for his great website that continues to help
hundreds of builders everyday!

Dean - that is One Hot Paint Job and it looks fast just sitting there.
I think you will be happy that the wing root stripes did not extend
further outboard to the prop tip deflection line. It's even prettier
than the graphic you shared. OSH should be really exciting.
