Guys,

Am looking to buy a CJ-6. Ideally < 2,500 hrs TTAF and solid logbooks.
Prefer M14P, but would still be interested if it had a well-maintained
Housai. Am new to the RedStar group with an eye towards formation
flying.

Contact Jim Selby. I was at his place in Monterey, CA this week and saw a CJ on his ramp that is ready for the paint of you choice. JB

Jim,

I was just getting ready to contact you. Doug Sapp mentioned this
morning that you may have a nice airplane for sale.

Yes, if you wouldn't mind, would love to see pictures. Not worried
about the appearance, just the airframe, engine and instruments. Paint
can always be addressed later.

All the best,

Warren Hill

Hi Warren,

We currently have 2 CJ's left for sale. One is ready to fly away today:
1989 CJ-6A N8120L. This is your chance to own a piece of aviation history. This late model CJ-6A was a part of a Chinese military demo team – and never cadet flown. This unique aircraft has been recently refurbished by Worldwide Warbirds. With only 2200 hours TTAF and 166 TTSNEW engine and prop on the aircraft, it is one of the lowest time CJ’s available. Upgrades include refurbished cockpits with new light grey paint and dark grey accents, detailed knobs, WW exclusive custom metal placard system, rescreened gauges, LED landing gear indicator lights, Hooker 5-point harnesses, B&C alternator and voltage regulator, new tires, US nose wheel, intake drain kit, CO reduction kit, stainless steel exhaust, new .050 wing walk, and all new control surfaces. All old avionics and associated wiring removed. Avionics include GX-65 GPS/COM, SL-70 Transponder, and PS Engineering 501 intercom. Canopy upgrade to new US high quality plexi included in price. Paint scheme is exacting replication of the military demo team scheme with polished stainless hardware on all panels, all access panel frames painted (inside) yellow for easy recognition when open, powder coated gear indication sticks, and chrome light bezels. The historical significance and exacting replication combined with our first class refurbishment make this one of the best CJ values on the market today. $82,500

The other is it's sister ship with similar specs that is in the middle of the same refurbishment process.
1986 CJ-6A. N8120C. 2200TTAF, 150 SMOH, will have most of the upgrades as above with the following changes:
-all dark grey interior
-primered and ready for the paint of your choice
-radios of your choice
-$70,000
Delivery time 3-4 weeks plus paint and upgrades.
We now have 5 mechanics on staff including an IA, A&P, a sheet metal specialist, and an avionics tech. All mods and upgrades are done in house.
See our ads at Controller.com for complete specs and pics. Feel free to contact me off line with any questions.
Regards,
Barry

Guys,

Wow! Thanks for the flood of e-mails both here and outside the list
server. It's going to take most of the weekend to sort through all of
them. As someone new to all things CJ, I'm impressed by the amazing
diversity of this aircraft and the camaraderie of the CJ community.
Over the next few days I'll get back to each of you.

All the best,

Warren Hill

Gents,

I wanted to thank everyone who sent me information about their CJ for
sale. It's been a pleasure getting to know part of the CJ community.
Over the last two weeks offerings have ranged from bare airframes to
several that were beyond elegant. I finally settled on one with a
solid airframe and a low time Housai. Will be bringing it to Arizona
on Sunday with Scott Andrews.

Looking forward to flying with many of you in the months and years to
come!
