Nice idea Peter.  Couple of questions:  

   

How far does the latch move and are you using a handle on the inside too?

G'day Jim,

  

 The tongue moves about 20mm 3/4".

 The picture of the lock installed inside shows the  centre turning portion accessable from inside.

 I don't think I would lock it during  flight, I think there still remains the problem of outside access if in the  event of an accident, I'm still working on it.

 Hope I can catch up with you at  Oshkosh.
