Barry,
I see. I may be late figuring out what everyone else already has, but…. It must be that the carbs are cold due to lots of gasoline being evaporated. This is how icing is caused. And another symptom of “way too rich”!
Can you report back when fixed? I am looking forward to hearing that your engine is running great again.

Randy and all, the temperature difference was a matter of feel, but one was very obviously colder than the other.
