Myself and a large group of friends camp in Paul's Park at Oshkosh. This is the camping area that is the closest to the 4 buildings main gate (a little over a block walk), as well as has lots of trees for shade. Since most of us volunteer, its sometimes referred to as the volunteer's campground but there is no requirement to volunteer.
These are absolutely the best camping spots at Oshkosh. To get these prime spots, you have to go a month ahead of time and pay for each day from the day you register until the end of the show. This runs $570 for the month. Unfortunately several people have had to cancel at the last minute, so I have one of our camping spots for sale. You can see the map at http://www.airventure.org/2007/planning/camp_scholler_map.html
If anyone is interested in purchasing this camping site from me, please send me an email at gjstrong(at)comcst.net
thanks!
