Dave Rains, Roger Alba and I returned from Oshkosh Sunday night. We arrived at the air-show on Thursday evening. It must have rained all Thursday night because I went to sleep before it stopped raining. We spent most of the day at the ultralight area. I visited the The New Kolb exhibition booth on my last day and was invited to a very nice restaurant after they closed up for the day. Thanks to Bruce & TNK for picking up the tab, they really know how to take care of their customers.

We missed getting into Oshkosh by 4 minutes before they closed the airport for the air show so we deviated to Fond du Lac, Interesting some vendors were at the Fond du Lac airport. On Friday the air show was canceled due to the two mustangs crashing. Roger, my flying pal and a Challenger driver, was very disappointed that the Challenger exhibition booth was not at Oshkosh and someone told him the Challenger factory was taking almost a year to deliver engines. I find that hard to believe but if they weren't there they must be too busy to take care of their customers.

On our way back we encounter many thunderstorms, we had to land at a small airport to wait out the low clouds for about 45 minutes. Once they started to clear we resumed our flight.

Above is a link to a short video of us landing at Oshkosh and some of the Kolb airplanes flying around the pattern.

Enjoy,

Great video, captures some of the essence there. Maybe next year I'll fly the "Agony" to OSH, maybe.

Will,
Great work, thanks for bringing me there. I saw another clip on Google of a real heavy downpour, looked like fun for the tent campers.

John,

You must have been exhausted those poor tents were clinging to Mother Earth with all they had; someone must have had not a good tent as you I'm sure. Nice string of shots John, Miss P'fer and that crane an incredible shot!

Take Care, Bob D.

due to the two mustangs crashing. >>

Hi Will,

do you know which Mustangs?

I flew Crazy Horse with Lee Lauderbeck a few years ago at Kissimmee. The highlight of my flying career.
