Can anyone fill me in on how to line up my flaperon jig? Is the seam
between the 2 planks supposed to be lined up with the chord (trailing tip to
forwardmost leading edge point) or through the center of the flaperon spar?
Furthermore, if it does go through the center of the spar tube does the aft
seam point go through the trailing edge point?
Smathers (Molalla,OR) loaned me his Series 5 jigs but the 7 has a different
flaperon airfoil.
Thanks!

Wade

I had the same problem when building my Mk7. The manual is confusing with two diagrams showing different configurations.
I placed the split line on the cord line which exits at the trailing edge. Plane flies with no problems.

Thanks!
Got my answer pretty quick actually. Since nobody was in Idaho at the factory, I called my dad's cell phone. He was strolling Oshkosh so I had him head over to the booth and within a half an hour, John and Debra had given him the answer to phone back to me. Small world....

By the way, yep...it's referenced to the chord.
