Installed a spring for Monowheel down-latch tonight. Works great. There is
no way it is going to hang in the up position.
I purchased .033" Stainless Steel spring-wire from McMaster Carr.
If anyone would like some, I have plenty.

Hi Ron
The spring arrived today. You did a very nice job! Funny, I was once a
mechanical engineer but somehow I was never exposed to winding springs nor
had I considered it.
Thank you. I have learned something. I am going to try to make another
from the extra wire just to see if I can.
Thanks much.

Hi Steve
Ron sent me one and some wire. I made another as I wanted an increased
diameter so I could put it over a spacer. I am happy to send you the one he
made.

Hi Ron,
Received a shredded envelope with "hand stamp only" on it.
I just hope they're still trying to figure out where that spring goes in
the sorting stamping machine. : )
Thanks for the valiant attempt to thwart the US post office,
Steved
