Have any of you all installed landing lights? If so, where did you put them? I saw the landing/taxi light assembly that Arion has, but am wondering what else you guys have done? Anyone mounted a light in the bottom of the cowling?

[quote] Jim,

I put the landing light in the bottom cowl on the left side. It sits on a platform behind a small scoop; it can be rotated slightly if it needs to be adjusted. Haven't flown at night yet so I can't tell you how effective it is but it appears quite bright in dayligh. I don't know what kind of light we used but Nick found it for us.

Jim,
I also have the same landing light set-up as Linda..
Looks good, but also cannot attest to how it does at night.
Have some pics my brother-in-law took of me on final at my home strip,
definitely see the light very clearly in daylight!

Yes, I saw that at Oshkosh, and while they look good, I think I would like to go in another direction. Having both lights on one side of the wing does not allow me to see objects on the other side as clearly as if the light were in the center, or at least close to the center. I think I am going to put it in the cowl like Linda and Rick have done on their aircraft.

Too many critters around here…
