That is a great write up and story and the Pictures are inspiring. Thanks for the link.  

I really like to see these stories, of flight; I believe they are a moral booster for all of us.

Isn't this the essence of the idea behind the Kitfox? Fly from your backyard for a nice early morning birdview of your surroundings. Nice article, Joe!

Incidentally, here is the off-Kitfox-topic report of my flying a 

Slepcev Storch to Norway. It is worth looking at, if only for the view 

of the Sogn fjord!

What an interesting journey, -and write up..



This is the first time I've ever seen a stand-by compass mounted outside  

cockpit and right on top of the engine cowl.  Am I right??

.. I can confirm that the Storch mag compass was as inaccurate as the 

one I have in my Kitfox!
