Last of the Summer Wine

The annual Last of the Summer Wine trip has always been organized by William Mills in the past. It has been an informal tour around various parts of France, with it's destinations determined by the weather, and the feelings of the participants. Nothing demanding, just the joy of a few days enjoying the environment, and a bit of flying together. We are confident that William would have wished the event to continue. 

  

 All being well we are looking at the 13th - 16th September for this trip. Hopefully the mod. situation will have been resolved by then.  

  

 Would anyone wishing to participate kindly let me know so that I can start making the arrangements.

Hi Folks,

 

We now have half a dozen aircraft intending to participate in this trip. There is room for a couple more.

 

You will be reassured to learn that the 10 hour tail plane check will present no problems. The PFA have given me temporary Tail Plane Inspector status for the trip, and we have a PFA inspector with us as well. It is worth coming along for the free checkouts, if nothing else.

 

We have had a couple of good suggestions for places to go, and we are all set for the 13th. September.

Hi Bryan  

It’s a sad fact of life… nothing happens for months and then it all happens at once.  I’d very much love to be taking you up on your kind offer of a seat in Sadie, but I’ve promised to take Jane to the N.York Moors that week to celebrate her half-century birthday.  What a bummer.  There are times when being completely independent has its advantages… you can be greedy and do everything you want!  Sadly on this occasion it’s not the case.  I hope you have a great trip… I’ll be thinking of you as we walk round the gardens in Harrogate!!!!!
