All
I just completed (I hope) the wt & balance for my Series 7 with a Rotax,
i.e. no fwd sweep in wing.
Wt came out to be 822 -- I'm happy with that.
What I'm questioning is the wheel measurements.
I dropped the wing leading edge (datum) and found it to be to the rear
of the main wheel axles by 2 3/8". (I actually had to drop the string
outside the main wheels because the string was touching the Grove Gear
leading edge.) The diagram/worksheet shows the wing leading edge to be
fwd of the main wheels.
Tail wheel was 164" behind leading edge.
What wheel measurements have you found on your S7?

Hopefully, ready for DAR

If the leading edge is very far foreward of the main wheels it will be a nose Dragger. Thats probably the diagram they use in your manual.

Did you have your tail wheel raised up to level the plane?

I thought it over after I made the last post and can't find anything wrong
with the mains being so close to the Datum.
