Hello Everyone.  Could someone email me the engine operating limits  

(RPM, Max oil temp. etc.) for IO540 A4D5?

Textron Lycoming Specification document #2319-0 dated 3 May 1990 shows

the answer -



Page 9 of 19, Section IV.  OPERATING LIMITATIONS

Paragraph 2 Oil Temperature.  The maximum permissible oil temperature is

245 degrees F.  For maximum engine life desired oil temperature should

be maintained between 165 and 200 degrees F in level flight cruise

conditions.



I will take a wild guess and speculate that Lycoming uses the same limit

on all of their engines.  Both the D4A5 and your A4D5 will likely be the

same.
