Gentlemen:

 Living in Florida, the cockpit heat is almost never needed.  Last  year, the heat muff off the right exhaust was removed.  Then used SCAT  tubing to direct fresh air from the front cowling directly into the two cockpit  vents. This gave a somewhat larger volume of cooler fresh air sans engine  gases.  A simple improvement.
