I made a comment the other day about my floats. I  have no issue with the floats as to performance. I am off the water in flat calm  in 8 secs and cruise a 80mph. I live on Kootenay lake in BC and am exposed to  the wind. Have an airstrip three miles away where I keep the plane on a trailer.  Takes one hour to put it in the water and the same to take it out. Thus the need  for amphibs. I have three planes, two on floats and fly vertually every  day.
