In the event one  buys an aircraft outside of their FSDO, are there any requirements to ferry it  to the home FSDO? 

  

 At the moment on  acquisition you could have an experimental not under the "guidance": of any  FSDO.

Ira,

 An aircraft remains under the "guidance" of the FSDO which has  jurisdiction over the aircraft's home base airport until such time as the  aircraft's Operating Limitations are updated to reflect a new home base airport  and a new Special Airworthiness Certificate is issued.
