I spoke directly with Bill De rouchey and the fellow in Watsonville on
this issue. They have performed several in the air tests to compair and
calibrate thier respective systems (Bill makes the EFIS installed in the
Watsonville RV-10) and they have noticed NO difference in airspeed or
altitude readings due to the placement of the NACA vents wrt static ports.

I am seriously considering going this route but before this thread started I had a question that has not been addressed yet and I believe it can only be addressed by someone flying.

My question is: Is there any impact with the static ports? The location of the NACA scoops appear to be in line with the static ports. Do the scoops induce any disturbance that could interfere with the static ports?

Deems,
Thats reassuring to hear that someone has already addressed this. Thanks.
