I am currently planning on getting a new Jabiru3300. I notice everyone talking about opening the valve covers to make adjustments. If I buy the engine do I still have to do these small adjustments.
If I have to do them, are the instructions pretty good with plenty of pictures and small words? While I can change a starter motor on a car, I am not that comfortable with opening and engine.
BTW, This is my first post here as I just decided to get the Jab but was considering the Rotax. 120 sweating horses is just to much to give up.

Welcome -- I am assuming you are getting a new 3300 with hydraulic lifters. This model does not require as much adjustment -- I have the older model so not as familiar. See http://www.suncoastjabiru.com/downloads.htm and download the engine manual for the newer engines and you'll know exactly what is required. As far as the older models, the valve adjustment is an easy but tedious procedure. Cheers
