While looking at Standard Category airplanes that fit the LSA category, I ran across this oddball. I don't think many were made because I've never seen one or heard of one before. It is legitimate because it is listed on page 9 of the Type Certificate Data Sheet for Aeronca Champ series (TCDC A-759). Photo of this Aeronca 7JC w/ C-90 engine is attached. Weird! As it turns out, it is NOT LSA compliant because it has a gross weight of 1,450 lb.

I'll bet that would turn on a dime.

Ground loop prone perhaps as well in stiff x-winds.

Its more of a backwards tricycle gear kindof rather than a tail dragger.

I though with this threads title it was going to be about us beer drinking Kolbers.... Wink
