Guys,

As an IT professional let me make some suggestions:

- BACKUP YOUR COMPUTERS!!!

- If you have a CD and or DVD burner, most of them come with backup software. If you don’t have one, get one. You can get one for under $100.00 and well worth it.

- I always keep ALL my documents in the “My Documents” folder. I burn it on a CD every month and date the disk.

- Keep any programs that you load. If a hard disk fails, you can re-load the software and copy your “My Documents” back and you have recovered the failure.

Hint;

Do a search for “Favorites” and copy it to “My Documents before you back it up. Upon restore, copy it back to where it came from and you won’t loose all your favorite websites.

I hope none of you experience a hard failure. However, BE PREPAIRED!

Another hint: I use my laptop as backup for my desktop and vise versa. I keep them up to date DAILY.

I learned this the hard way. My desktop was stolen during a burglary at my office while I was away on business. I had my laptop with me, which saved my bacon (and my business). I've had a hard drive crash since then and the laptop came through again.
