My Firestar II is now legal. Got the airworthiness certificate today. The DAR charged $193. for about 40 minutes of inspection. Tail number is N702V.

You got a good deal on the DAR by local standards.

holy crap does your DAR want to go on a vacation to Maine that is cheap I know of a lot of guys looking at a long wait that would like to get there inspection done especially at that price

I know I have a wonderful DAR. He does not charge for inspections or even transportation. He is also a EAA Tech Counselor, an instructor of aviation technologies at a university, an A&P and a retired airforce colonel (sp).

My inspection was also fairly cheap....$200 bucks
it was in 2005 before the big rush.....??!!
