Hello everyone,

I hope you all are doing fine.

Now I was wondering if there is a Flight Testing Standard available that addresses all safety issues. (and its free)

If not, I am planning to take up this issue and create a proper Flight testing Plan that addresses all safety issues for any single engine / prop based aircraft. This should be free for all to use and refer too.

Anyone interested in directing me towards a better resource or assisting me in my attempt.

awaiting your valuable comments,

faisal.

The EAA website has good information on Flight Testing Experimental Aircraft.

I think this would be a good source of information for you.

They are a list of articles not a complete Flight Test Plan.
I have not seen any plan on EAA that carries Flight Testing Checklists or Flight Testing Cards (As advised for testing by FAA).

normally only a general description is given not the complete procedure to follow.

They normally don't even tend to provide you with possible adverse effects of attempting a maneuver.

I intend to make a Complete. Step by step list that addresses each test, its need, its procedure, its pits and falls, requirements for attempting the maneuver, recording of the result, analyzing it to define limitations.

FAA AC 90-89a - Amatuer-Built Aircraft & Ultralight Flight Testing Handbook

has a lot more step by step information as well, also on the EAA website.

Since that has been adequate for Home builders, if you need more, you will probably have to use one of the large aerospace agencies criteria for flight testing.

Not likely that they will make any of that available to a non-staff member.

faisal,

A book that I have liked that addresses what to test, what to expect
and what to do to fix it is:

by Vaughan Askue (Paperback - Jul 1, 1992)
Amazon has the book and you can see more detail at:
