today while landing I scuffed my wing tip.  the wind was 6  gusting to 12 almost 90% to the runway.the tip hit so softly I rubbed  about  3/4 of an inch of paint off the out side end of the droop tip and  left a little bit of dirt above  that. I can hardly believe how lucky I  was.  while stuffing the stick hard right all I could  remember was how many times someone told me  a ground loop happens so  fast that by the time you relies it is happening it is to late. I kept it  straight and  landed without a lot of bouncing .

    I have read a lot about accelerated stalls and would like  to learn moor about proper Xwind landing .     malcolm mod 2  582   almost 600 hrs   ultralight's , sport pilot.
