This runaway trim issue interests me because I had it happen in my RV-4 on takeoff.  Handled it by slowing down to the new trim speed, but now I'm building a faster, more powerful airplane and am looking for protection from a potentially more difficult situation.  The TCW system sounds good but I have a TruTrak ADI Pilot II and was wondering if they are compatible and if there is any sense in which they would work against each other.  Does anyone know how these two systems would work together?  Does the TruTrak provide any protection from runaway trim itself, or would it be better to have both?
