With the Gray Scale screen on the Air map 1000 can can you tell the
difference between
Controlled and uncontrolled fields ...... Given that Magenta & Blue
are close to the same
density I would guess its tough distinguishing one from the other like
you can with a Sectional..
or color screen GPS...
Is this a problem?

On my 2000C a warning notice goes up on the screen when approaching
local airspace, sometimes two or more deep, since I have McConnell AFB
and the ICT class Charley within 25 miles. They seem to expect I'm
going to get there within the hour.
