After burning airport mogas for many years in our Pawnee (235hp) glider tug with nary a problem, one day I'd had enough of paying the monopoly factor and decided to put mogas in both my Wilga and Broussard. Saved a bunch of money (I thought). Next day the fuel gage tubes (plastic tubes below the wings with floats like a Stearman) on the Wilga had turned opaque. The gaskets on the Broussard gages (also floats, but with dials) were wet. Following day the Wilga tubes had developed small cracks and were starting to drip, Broussard a bit wetter. Following day BIG puddle on the hangar floor, gooey gaskets in the Wilga--cracks had opened up to about 1/16"!
Gooey rubber in pressure carburetors etc. is no laughing matter. 100LL for me! YMMV.
