Hi John, I installed the airflow performance bypass valve and it works very well because of the return line going back to my left gas tank, I never have a hot start problem and have only had to flood the engine once to get it started, this was because I did not purge the hot fuel and vapors from the spider completely. I now run the fuel pump with valve in bypass for a minimum of 15 to 20 seconds before a hot start, having said that I think I may try even a longer pump on run the bypass. I still consider this method a hot start, so its mixture idle cut off and wide open throttle and bypass closed. I have not tried after a purge, mixture rich and throttle at Idle, the fuel is still going to want to boil going through the hot lines until the engine settles down, so I flip on the fuel pump for a few seconds. BUT! I have all my fuel line sleeved that go from the engine driven pump to the servo and up to the bypass valve. Its the 1500/2000 degree line cover similar to fire sleeve, Silver reflective in color from summit racing. I tossed my last catalog other wise I would give you the number. Blue skies, Bob Marshall # 999RM
