The one thing that I have not seen any voice about this discussion is:
Dan is the one and first guy to push kit plane to the max.
I believe the he was solely instrumental in the "kit" manufacturing boom. Up
until Dan, there were kits out to build but nothing as complete as the two
aircraft Dan was involved in. you could actually buy a kit and get it in the
air with no trips to the aircraft supply store. Any one who had tried to
build from kits before this time are very aware of the pain of building the
old way.
