WoW, the picture taken in the shop looks terrific. Did you use a paint mask or did you lay out the design with tape? I see you changed the position of your "N" number from the original layout. Looks good. How hard was it to get the line over the tail section to look right? I may copy part of your scheme for its the best I have seen yet. Tex

Thanks Tex

I believe that the painter masked everything with tape. I had changed the design of where the tail number is located because the masking did not turn out quite like I had expected, and I wanted to do something to dress it up. The Lightning logo, number and strike are going to be graphics done for me to be applied later. The pic shows what they will look like, although the Lightning logo will be a different color.

THanks for the encouragement.

Jim!

One question I have about the "N" number, the size is ok, but how much of a angle and what font will the FAA except? The preivos picture showed the number up on the tail and at a 45 degree angle. Have you researched this at all? Tex

Contact Gene Niswonger at Airgraphics. He does most of the graphics work for Cirrus and completly understands the fonts, size and color combinations that are usable.
