For communications you either have separate antennas for each transmitter or
you have a switch to select the antenna to the radio in use. If you are
going to the trouble of having a second radio then have a dedicated antenna
for it.
Assuming you have a standard belly bent whip antenna now, you may want to
try a wingtip antenna or some copper tape in the cowl for the second radio.
I have a homemade wing tip communication antenna that, while not as good as
my belly bent whip, works fine.
